The Dow Jones Industrial Average, NASDAQ Composite, and S&P 500 are higher in afternoon trading on Monday. Some of the most actively traded stocks include Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) up 0.5%, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) higher by 0.5%, Ocwen Financial (NYSE:OCN) up 15.6%, FXCM (FXCM) up 1.2% and GE (NYSE:GE) up 0.47%.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was lower, down 0.25%, and the Hang Seng was higher, up 0.24%. In Europe, the FTSE 100 was higher, up 0.29% and the German DAX was higher by 1.40% today.
In economic news, Durable Orders, Consumer Confidence and New Home Sales come out tomorrow, Initial Claims on Thursday, and Chicago PMI on Friday.
Some of the companies releasing earnings this week include: 3M (NYSE:MMM) and AO Smith (NYSE:AOS) tomorrow, Boeing (NYSE:BA) on Wednesday, Alibaba Group Holding (NYSE:BABA) on Thursday, and Eli Lilly and Co (LLY) on Friday.
