In trading on Friday, general contractors & builders shares were relative leaders, up on the day by about 4%. Leading the group were shares of M D C Holdings (NYSE:MDC), up about 6.2% and shares of Lennar (NYSE:LEN.B) up about 6% on the day.
Also showing relative strength are home furnishings & improvement shares, up on the day by about 2.7% as a group, led by Stanley Furniture (NASDAQ:STLY), trading up by about 11.3% and Ethan Allen Interiors (NYSE:ETH), trading up by about 4.7% on Friday.
