This ETF is a fund, created in June 2000, that tries to achieve investment results that generally correspond to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the basic materials economic sector of the United States equity market, as represented by the Dow Jones U.S. Basic Materials Index. The underlying index gauges the performance of the basic materials sector of the US equities market, including companies that fall into the chemical, paper, and mining sectors.
