Navios Maritime Holdings (NYSE:NM) declared a first quarter cash dividend of $0.06 per share of common stock. With the dividend announcement, the Company announced first quarter earnings of $0.12 per share.
Chairman and CEO Angeliki Frangou stated, "We are pleased with our financial and operational performance during the quarter. Our results reflect our long-term chartering policy which provided an advantage during this tumultuous period for the industry."
In afternoon trading, shares were down almost 7% on normal volume.
In other dividend news, oil and gas conglomerate (NYSE:HAL) announced its quarterly dividend of 9 cents per share. Consulting giant Marsh & Mclennan Companies (NYSE:MMC) announced its quarterly dividend of 20 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, food products manufacturer Kraft Foods (KFT) announced its quarterly dividend of 29 cents per share, an increase of 7.41% over the dividend a year ago of 27 cents.
Among dividend decreases, Canadian royalty trust Pengrowth Energy (NYSE:PGH) announced its monthly dividend of 10 cents per share, a decrease of 55.75% over the dividend a year ago of 22.6 cents.
