After the bell yesterday, General Mills (NYSE:GIS) announced its quarterly dividend of $0.47 per share. This amounts to a nine percent increase to the dividend and about a three and a half percent yield for investors.
In afternoon trading, shares of General Mills were trading lower by a little less than one half of one percent.
In other dividend news, trucking company Con-way (CNW) maintained its quarterly dividend of 10 cents per share. Machinery manufacturer Idex Corporation (NYSE:IEX) maintained its quarterly dividend of 12 cents per share. And savings & loan, Washington Federal (WFSL), maintained its quarterly dividend of 5 cents per share.
Among dividend reductions, marketing firm Schawk (SGK) announced its quarterly dividend of 1 cent per share, a decrease of about 70% over its prior dividend in April of 3.3 cents.
