Landstar Systems (NASDAQ:LSTR) announced a thirteen percent increase to their second quarter dividend today, raising the dividend from four cents per share up to four and a half cents per share. With the dividend announcement, the company also reported earnings for the second quarter that showed net income falling almost 40% from the same quarter last year and revenue tumbling by almost 30%.
In afternoon trading, shares of Landstar Systems were trading lower, down about one percent.
In other dividend news, midstream natural gas service company, Copano Energy (CPNO), maintained its quarterly dividend of 57.5 cents per share. Sherwin Williams (NYSE:SHW) maintained its quarterly dividend of 35.5 cents per share. And oil and gas pipeline owner, Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (NYSE:KMP), maintained its quarterly dividend of $1.05 per share.
Among dividend reductions, diversified REIT, Cousins Properties (NYSE:CUZ), announced its quarterly dividend of 15 cents per share, a decrease of about 40% over its prior dividend in April of 25 cents.
