PNC Financial Services Group (NYSE:PNC) announced its quarterly dividend of ten cents per share today. With the announcement, the company said they made a $95 million dividend payment to the U.S. Treasury as part of the Troubled Asset Relief Program.
In afternoon trading, shares of PNC Financial fell by more than three percent.
In other dividend news, oil and gas refiner, Sunoco (NYSE:SUN), maintained its quarterly dividend of 30 cents per shares. Property and Casualty insurer, American Financial Group (NYSE:AFG), maintained its quarterly dividend of 13 cents per share. And Bill Gross's Pimco High Income Fund (NYSE:PHK) maintained its monthly dividend of 12.1875 cents per share.
Among dividend reductions, business development company, Kayne Anderson Energy (KED), announced its quarterly dividend of 30 cents per share, a decrease of about 14% over its prior dividend in April of 35 cents.
