Marvel shares are trading sharply higher, up more than twenty six percent today.

JMP Securities upgraded shares of KKR Financial (NYSE:KFN) from Market Perform to Outperform and established a $5 price target.

News of the upgrade is sending shares higher, up almost seventeen percent so far.

Another acquisition announced this morning was oilfield services company Baker Hughes (BHI) buying BJ Services (BJS) in a cash and stock deal valued at $5.5 billion.

News of the acquisition is driving BJ Services higher, up about seven percent this morning.

Blockbuster (BBI) announced it has sold Xtra-vision Limited, its 186 store entertainment retailer in Ireland, to Birchhall Investments Limited for U.S. proceeds of up to $45 million in cash.

News of the sale is driving Blockbuster shares modestly higher this morning, up more than six percent.

And Sinovac Biotech (NASDAQ:SVA), a leading provider of bio-pharmaceutical products in China, announced that its H1N1 vaccine has passed the experts evaluation organized by State Food and Drug Administration. The vaccine is expected to obtain a production license within the week.

Sinovac's shares are soaring this morning, up more than twenty four percent so far.
