After the bell yesterday, Chimera Investment (NYSE:CIM) increased its quarterly dividend to seventeen cents per share, an increase of about forty two percent from its prior dividend. Based on the current share price, investors can expect a yield of about sixteen percent going forward.
In afternoon trading, shares of Chimera were trading higher, up almost three and a half percent following the dividend increase.
In other dividend news, MSC Industrial (NYSE:MSM) maintained its quarterly dividend of 20 cents per share. Piedmont Natural Gas (NYSE:PNY) maintained its quarterly dividend of 27 cents per share. Kearny Financial (NASDAQ:KRNY) maintained its quarterly dividend of 5 cents per share. And Kite Realty Group (NYSE:KRG) maintained its quarterly dividend of 6 cents per share.
