Tyco International (NYSE:TYC) and Brink's Home Security Holdings (CFL) announced an agreement for Tyco to acquire Brink's Home Security Holdings, now operating as Broadview Security. Tyco intends to combine Broadview with Tyco's ADT security business. The cash and stock transaction is valued at $42.50 per share or approximately $2.0 billion.
Brink's shares are up over thirty one and three quarters percent in trading today.
Williams (NYSE:WMB) will be combining their pipeline and processing divisions to create a massive natural gas partnership.
Williams and Williams Partners L.P. (NYSE:WPZ) said that Williams plans to contribute its gas pipeline and domestic midstream businesses plus its limited- and general-partner interests in Williams Pipeline Partners L.P. (WMZ) into Williams Partners. The partnership-transforming restructuring is valued at approximately $12 billion.
Williams is up over seven and three quarters percent. Williams Partners is up over sixteen percent. And, Williams Pipeline Partners is up almost fifteen percent.
