Last night Hutchison Whampoa Group announced a proposal to take Hutchison Telecom International (HTX) private at a 37% premium to the closing price.
After shares of Hutchison Telecom were temporarily suspended from trading this morning, the stock is now back in action and up over 23% on the news.
Heartland Payment Systems (NYSE:HPY) and Visa (NYSE:V) arrived at a settlement agreement under which issuers of Visa-branded credit and debit cards will have an opportunity to obtain a recovery from Heartland with respect to losses they may have incurred from the 2008 criminal breach of Heartland's payment system environment. Heartland will pay up to $60 million to fund the settlement program.
After the announcement Heartland shares are rallying, up almost 12% so far today.
Shares of Methode Electronics (NYSE:MEI) were upgraded this morning by Robert W. Baird from Neutral to Outperform.
Shares of Methode are up over thirteen and quarter percent today.
Immunomedics (NASDAQ:IMMU), announced that they received a patent for "Immunotherapy of autoimmune disorders using antibodies which target B-cells."
