According to the Wall Street Journal, Schlumberger (NYSE:SLB) and Smith International (SII) are in talks. The rumor is that Schlumberger would acquire Smith.
The buzz is driving Smith International stock higher today, currently up almost 13%.
Aruba Networks (NASDAQ:ARUN) posted revenues for the second quarter of $62.7 million, up approximately 31% versus the fiscal second quarter of 2009.
Non-GAAP net income was $0.06 per share, compared to $0.02 per share in the prior year period, beating analyst estimates.
Shares of Aruba Networks are up more than 14.5% on the news.
Sapient (NASDAQ:SAPE) saw service revenues come in at $183.5 million up 11% versus the fourth quarter of 2008.
GAAP diluted net income per share was $0.51, compared to $0.20 in the fourth quarter of 2008. The company also declared a special dividend in the amount of $0.35.
Shares of Sapient are up more than 12.25% on the news.
