Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation (NYSE:RL) saw third quarter diluted EPS increase by 5% to $1.10. However, net revenues were $1.2 billion, 1% below net revenues for the comparable period last year. Revenues missed analyst expectations and the stock is trading down.
Currently Polo Ralph Lauren is off by more than 8.5%.
Alliance Data Systems (NYSE:ADS) posted net income of $40.7 million compared to $45.3 million last year.
Shares of Alliance are trading down almost 7%.
Ryder System (NYSE:R) posted net earnings for the fourth quarter of 2009 of $8.2 million versus $10.6 million in the year-earlier period.
The company expects 2010 economic conditions to be fairly stable, with some modest improvement in the second half of the year.
Ryder shares are down nearly 6.5%.
In the fourth quarter of 2009, International Paper (NYSE:IP) reported a net loss of $101 million, or 24 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $1.8 billion, or $4.25 per share in the fourth quarter of 2008. While the company has managed to narrow their loss, shares are off so far today.
