This morning, Deere (NYSE:DE) drew the attention of both JP Morgan and UBS following its strong earnings report yesterday. JP Morgan upgraded the stock from Neutral to Overweight and assigned a $65 price target, while UBS raised its EPS estimates citing the recovery in agricultural demand. UBS maintained its Neutral rating, but upped its price target to $61 per share.
In morning trading, shares of Deere were moving higher, gaining about three quarters of one percent today.
UBS also initiated coverage on shares of VMWare with a Buy rating. The firm sees data center projects driving earnings in future quarters and have set a price target of $54 per share.
Shares of VMWare were moving trending higher this morning, gaining a little more than one percent.
And Brigantine Advisors upgraded shares of First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR) to a Buy rating ahead of the company's earnings tonight. The firm believes all of the negative news regarding reduced margins are baked into the stock's price and is calling for a modest earnings beat of $1.54 per share for the fourth quarter. With the Buy rating, Brigantine Advisors set a price target of $145 per share.
Shares of First Solar were trading higher on the upgrade, gaining about one percent so far today.
