Terra Industries (TRA) confirmed that it has received a proposal from CF Industries Holdings (NYSE:CF) to acquire all of the outstanding common stock of Terra for $37.15 in cash and 0.0953 of a share of CF Industries common stock for each Terra share.
Currently shares of Terra are up more than 11.5% on the offer.
Stillwater Mining Company (NYSE:SWC) a company that engages in the development, extraction, processing, refining, and marketing of palladium and platinum is trading up more than 6.75%. The momentum is following the upward trend of platinum and palladium on the NYMEX.
Fresh Del Monte Produce (NYSE:FDP) posted net income per ordinary share of 44 cents, versus 36 cents a year ago. Net sales came in at $872.1 million versus $831 million a year ago.
Shares of Fresh Del Monte are up a little less than 6.75%.
