Kulicke & Soffa Industries (NASDAQ:KLIC) said today that its fiscal second quarter revenue totaled $153 million, better than analysts expected, and said fiscal third quarter revenue will likely total $205 million.
The maker of equipment used to assemble microchips said demand for instruments called ball bonders and wedge bonders is “unprecedented.”
It will report full results for its fiscal second quarter on May 6.
The company may also be getting a boost on the heels of a strong earnings report from Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) after the bell Tuesday. Shares of Texas Instruments (NASDAQ:TXN) and Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) were up on those results.
