Earlier today the Company reported fiscal year 2010 Diluted EPS of $1.98. Excluding items, fiscal 2010 normalized EPS was $2.84 as compared to the fiscal year 2011 earnings per share guidance of $3.20 - $3.50.

Shares of Blyth are up almost 38.5%.

Ambac Financial Group (ABK) posted fourth quarter 2009 net income of $558.1 million, or net income of $1.93 per diluted share. This compares to a fourth quarter 2008 net loss of about $2.34 billion, or $8.14 per share.

On the quarterly profit, shares of Ambac are up about 68.4%.

Casey's General Stores (NASDAQ:CASY) announced that its Board of Directors reviewed an unsolicited proposal received from Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. (TSE:ATD.A.CA) (TSE:ATD.B.CA) to acquire Casey’s for $36.00 per share in cash.

The Board unanimously determined that the proposal is not in the best interests of the corporation and informed Couche-Tard that it had rejected the proposal.

Shares of Casey's are up about 22%.

Atlas Energy (NYSE:ATLS) announced that it has entered into a joint venture transaction with a wholly owned affiliate of Reliance Industries, the largest private sector company in India.

Atlas will transfer an interest in its Marcellus Shale position equal to 120,000 net acres in a transaction valued at $1.7 billion. Reliance will pay approximately $340 million in cash upon closing and an additional $1.36 billion in the form of a drilling carry.

Atlas shares are up 17.3% on the news.

Responding to an article in the Economic Daily News discussing rumors of an aquisition of Palm (PALM), HTC Corp said "Per corporate policy HTC doesn't comment on rumors or speculation."

Shares of Palm are trading up 11%.
