McMoRan Exploration (MMR) reported a net loss of $66.2 million, or $0.74 per share, for the first quarter of 2010 compared with a net loss of $63.2 million, or $0.90 per share, for the first quarter of 2009.
First-quarter 2010 production averaged 190 Million cubic feet of natural gas equivalents per day net to McMoRan, compared with 198 MMcfe/d in the first quarter of 2009.
Shares of McMoRan Exploration are down nearly 14%.
This morning Palm (PALM) was downgraded by Morgan Keegan from market perform to underperform on questions as to the immanency of an acquisition.
Shares of Palm are down about 14%.
China Real Estate Information (CRIC) is seeing shares lower today on reports that China will be tightening lending standards for certain home purchases.
Shares of China Real Estate are lower by more than 12.75%.
Doral Financial (NYSE:DRL), the holding company of Doral Bank, announced that it has entered into definitive agreements to raise up to $600 million of new equity capital for the Company through a private placement, primarily with institutional investors.
