This morning, Waste Management (NYSE:WM) declared its quarterly dividend of 31.5 cents per share, maintaining the amount paid to shareholders last quarter. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about 3.7% going forward.
In afternoon trading, shares of Waste Management were basically flat, up just a few pennies so far.
In other dividend news, Cummins (NYSE:CMI) maintained its quarterly dividend of 17.5 cents per share. And Wendy's/Arby's Group (NASDAQ:WEN) maintained its quarterly dividend of 1.5 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Cliffs Natural Resources (NYSE:CLF) announced its quarterly dividend of 14 cents per share, an increase of about 60% over its prior dividend in February of 8.8 cents. And Starwood Property Trust (NYSE:STWD) announced its quarterly dividend of 25 cents per share, an increase of about 14% over its prior dividend in March of 22 cents.
