After the bell on Thursday, Chimera Investment (NYSE:CIM) declared its quarterly dividend of 17 cents per share, maintaining the amount paid to shareholders last quarter. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about 16.9% going forward.
In afternoon trading, shares of Chimera were heading higher, gaining about 1% so far.
In other dividend news, General Electric (NYSE:GE) maintained its quarterly dividend of 10 cents per share. Abbott Labs (NYSE:ABT) maintained its quarterly dividend of 44 cents per share. And The Washington Post (NYSE:WPO) maintained its quarterly dividend of $2.25 per share.
Among dividend reductions, Capstead Mortgage (NYSE:CMO) announced its quarterly dividend of 36 cents per share, a decrease of about 28% from its prior dividend in March of 50 cents.
