Bookseller Borders Group (BGP) said late yesterday chief financial officer Mark Bierley has resigned to pursue another job. Vice president Glen Tomaszewski will serve as interim CFO. Borders said Bierley will help the company in its transition process.
Also late yesterday, Ryder System (NYSE:R) announced several management changes. Ryder’s CFO Robert Sanchez will succeed President of Global Fleet Management Solutions Tony Tegnelia, who is retiring. Global Fleet Management Solutions is Ryder’s largest business segment. Senior vice president and controller Art Garcia will take over as chief financial officer. The changes take place as of September 1, although Tegnelia will stay on for a transition period of about six months.
