After the bell yesterday, Euroseas (NASDAQ:ESEA) declared its quarterly dividend of 6 cents per share, an increase of about 20% over its prior dividend. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about 6.2% going forward.
Shares of Euroseas were heading lower, despite the positive dividend news, losing about 2% today.
In other dividend news, Monro Muffler Brake (NASDAQ:MNRO) maintained its quarterly dividend of 9 cents per share. And Seabright Holdings (SBX) maintained a dividend of 5 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Aflac (NYSE:AFL) announced its quarterly dividend of 30 cents per share, an increase of about 7% over its prior dividend in May of 28 cents. And CAE Incorporated (NYSE:CAE) announced its quarterly dividend of 4 cents per share, an increase of about 33% over its prior dividend in June of 3 cents.
