Kraton Performance Polymers (NYSE:KRA) said revenues in the second quarter were $332 million, an increase of approximately 42% compared to second quarter 2009. Net income was $39 million or $1.24 per diluted share, compared with a second quarter 2009 net loss of $4 million or a loss of $0.22 per diluted share.
Kraton is higher by 11%.
MF Global Holdings (MF) announced adjusted earnings per fully diluted share of $0.16 for the first quarter of 2011, versus $0.05 for the same period last year, beating expectations.
Shares of MF Global are up 10.6%.
Affymax (NASDAQ:AFFY) and Takeda Pharmaceutical announced that the companies have decided on a preliminary strategic path forward for the investigational drug, Hematide/peginesatide, for the treatment of anemia in chronic renal failure patients in the United States. Before year end, the companies plan to discuss with the FDA the U.S. registration strategy for Hematide.
Affymax is higher by 21.6%.
Atmel Corporation (NASDAQ:ATML) said revenues in the second quarter were $393.4 million, up 38% from $284.5 million in the second quarter of 2009.
Non-GAAP net income totaled $50.8 million or $0.11 per diluted share, compared with a non-GAAP net loss of $0.6 million in the second quarter of 2009.
Shares of Atmel are up 17.5%.
Fuel Systems Solutions (NASDAQ:FSYS) has increased revenues by 8.1% to $99.8 million from $92.3 million in the second quarter of 2009. Net income for the second quarter was $6.9 million, or $0.39 per diluted share, compared to $7.4 million, or $0.46 per diluted share in the second quarter 2009.
