Regis Corporation (NYSE:RGS) announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the exploration of strategic alternatives to enhance shareholder value. Crescendo Partners stated today that it is supportive of the recent announcement by Regis Corporation that its Board of Directors has authorized the exploration of strategic alternatives to enhance shareholder value.
Shares of Regis are up 15.4%.
Liz Claiborne (LIZ) posted an adjusted loss per share for the second quarter of $0.19, compared to an adjusted loss per share of $0.49 for the second quarter of 2009. The company said that looking forward, they continue to expect a meaningful improvement in second half operating results compared to the year ago period.
Liz Claiborne is higher by 16.4%.
NACCO Industries (NYSE:NC) announced consolidated net income of $15.9 million, or $1.91 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2010 on revenues of $598.8 million compared with consolidated net income for the second quarter of 2009 of $1.6 million, or $0.19 per diluted share, on revenues of $540.5 million.
On the report, shares of NACCO are up 15.8%.
Polypore International (NYSE:PPO) said that sales were $150.1 million, an increase of $31.9 million, or 27%, compared with the prior-year period.
Adjusted EPS was $0.33 per diluted share, compared with $0.12 per diluted share in the prior-year period.
Polypore is higher by 11.8%.
Sauer-Danfoss (SHS) reported net income of $34.6 million, or $0.71 per share, for the second quarter, compared to a net loss of $121.8 million, or a loss of $2.52 per share, for the second quarter of 2009.
