The iShares Dow Jones U.S. Medical Devices Index Fund ETF (AMEX:IHI) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 445,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 97,000. Shares of IHI were up about 0.5% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Boston Scientific (NYSE:BSX), trading up about 1.3% with over 9.0 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Medtronic (NYSE:MDT), up about 1.7% on volume of over 7.6 million shares. Accuray (NASDAQ:ARAY) is the component faring the best Wednesday, higher by about 3.2% on the day, while Hill Rom Holdings (NYSE:HRC) is lagging other components of the iShares Dow Jones U.S. Medical Devices Index Fund ETF, trading relatively unchanged.
