Barclays Tap Diamond; Beckman Coulter CEO Resigns Tuesday, September 7, 4:16 PM ET
Barclays (NYSE:BCS ) said today that its investment banking chief, Robert Diamond, will become CEO in 2011.
Current CEO John Varley will resign his post on March 31.
Among other people moves today, biomedical testing company Beckman Coulter (BEC ) said its chairman & CEO, Scott Garrett, has resigned.
Garrett will continue aiding the board of directors through January, the company said.
Senior vice president J. Robert Hurley will serve as interim president and CEO, while the company seeks a permanent successor for the CEO post.
