BP (NYSE:BP) said today it would delay the release of its third quarter results by a week, from October 26 to November 2.
The company said the postponement was for more time to prepare accounting related to the Gulf of Mexico spill.
Earlier this week, BP released a report of its findings in its investigation of the rig explosion and subsequent leak, and found multiple causes for the disaster, and blamed itself as well as Transocean (NYSE:RIG) and Halliburton (NYSE:HAL).
