Kraft Picks Barry Callebaut as Chocolate Supplier Thursday, September 9, 1:39 PM ET
Kraft (NYSE:KFT ) today tapped Swiss chocolate maker Barry Callebaut as a chocolate supplier.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Callebaut will provide Kraft’s cocoa products and industrial chocolate.
Callebaut is planning to make $65 million in investments to its production capabilities over the next couple of years.
Nestle and Hershey (NYSE:HSY ) already have outsourcing deals with Callebaut.
Shares of Barry Callebaut surged in Switzerland on the news.
