Propane and natural gas marketer and distributor Inergy (NYSE:NRGY) said today it has agreed to buy Tres Palacios Gas Storage for $725 million.
Inergy will also pay for reimbursement of certain capital expenditures.
Tres Palacios is a salt dome natural gas storage facility with 38.4 billion cubic feet of working gas capacity. Inergy said the facility is expandable by another 9.5 Bcf, which Inergy said will be in service by 2014.
Inergy said the acquisition adds to its portfolio with an additional platform for growth.
Also today, healthcare revenue and payment cycle solutions provider Emdeon (EM) said it has agreed to acquire Chamberlin Edmonds & Associates for $260 million in cash.
Chamberlin Edmonds is a privately held provider of government program eligibility and enrollment services. It provides its services at 200 acute care facilities in 30 states.
Emdeon said the acquisition continues its strategic expansion in technology enabled services to make healthcare more efficient.
