The iShares FTSE NAREIT Mortgage Plus Capped Index Fund ETF (AMEX:REM) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Tuesday, with over 145,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 36,000. Shares of REM were up about 0.9% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Tuesday were Cypress Sharpridge Investments (NYSE:CYS), trading relatively unchanged with over 15.7 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Hatteras Financial (NYSE:HTS), up about 6.2% on volume of over 7.3 million shares. Provident New York Bancorp (NYSE:PBNY) is lagging other components of the iShares FTSE NAREIT Mortgage Plus Capped Index Fund ETF Tuesday, trading relatively unchanged.
