The SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (NYSE:XSD) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 145,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 80,000. Shares of XSD were up about 0.7% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), trading up about 0.7% with over 41.1 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), up about 2.8% on volume of over 15.2 million shares. Skyworks Solutions (NASDAQ:SWKS) is the component faring the best Thursday, up by about 4.2% on the day, while Linear Technology (LLTC) is lagging other components of the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF, trading relatively unchanged.
