Credit rating agency and financial research provider Moody’s Corporation (NYSE:MCO) said today it has acquired CSI Global Education for $151.4 million.
CSI Global Education is a provider of financial learning, credentials and certification, and Moody’s said the acquisition will strengthen its capabilities for delivering credit training programs, research and analytical services, and risk management software for financial institutions.
The transaction will have a negligible impact on Moody’s earnings in the fourth quarter 2010 and full-year 2011, and will be accretive to earnings per share thereafter.
Also today, workload management technology provider Novell (NOVL) said it has agreed to be acquired by Attachmate Corporation for $6.10 per share in cash.
The transaction is valued at $2.2 billion.
Novell will concurrently sell certain intellectual property assets to CPTN Holdings for $450 million in cash.
