Global Cash Access Holdings (GCA) announced that in the third quarter, revenue was $152.1 million, a decrease of 7.4% over the $164.3 million in revenue recorded in the same quarter last year. EBITDA was $17.3 million, a decrease of 20.4% compared to the same period in the prior year’s third quarter.
Shares dropped more than 20 percent on the news.
Orbitz Worldwide (OWW) announced a better-than-expected profit and forecast a 1-2 percent increase in full-year revenue. Gross bookings rose 12 percent to $2.81 billion, Net profit was $15.3 million, or 15 cents a share, compared with $7.0 million, or 8 cents a share, in the same period a year ago.
Shares are lower by over 17 percent, however, on news that American Airlines (NYSE:AMR) may stop selling tickets on the site on December 1.
Alcatel Lucent (ALU) announced revenue of 4.074 billion Euros, up 10.5% year over year beating estimates. Adjusted EPS per ADS was 4 cents a share, ahead of estimates of one cent.
However, gross margin in the quarter fell to 33.8% from 36.1% in the second quarter. which led investors to sell the stock, pushing shares lower by nearly 9.25 percent.
