Noranda Aluminum (NOR) shares dropped after the company announced a secondary share offering, diluting existing shareholders. The company plans to raise up to $140 million and plans on using the proceeds to pay down a portion of its $533 million debt.
Shares are lower by over 14 percent.
Salon operator Regis (NASDAQ:RGS) is down today after a news report in the New York Post that stated that potential buy out offers were coming in much lower than had been expected.
Shares are lower by nearly 12.8 percent.
Mela Sciences (MELA) shares are sharply lower after research conducted by the company failed to show its hand-held skin cancer detection device worked. To add insult to injury, the US Food and Drug Administration reviewers were critical of studies conducted by the company.
