The First Trust Dow Jones Select MicroCap Index Fund ETF (AMEX:FDM) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 319,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 65,000. Shares of FDM were up about 2.4% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Cheniere Energy (AMEX:LNG), trading up about 6.9% with over 1.5 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Sonic Solutions (SNIC), up about 4.2% on volume of over 1.2 million shares. Anaren (NASDAQ:ANEN) is the component faring the best Wednesday, up by about 9.6% on the day, while Universal Technical Inst (NYSE:UTI) is lagging other components of the First Trust Dow Jones Select MicroCap Index Fund ETF, trading lower by about 9.7%.
