Freight transportation and logistics services company Pacer International (PACR) announced a quarterly loss of 3 cents per share. That's down from earnings of 27 cents in the same quarter last year. Revenue fell about 11% to 373 million, down from 420 million in the fourth quarter of 2009. Shares of Pacer International fell more than 18% in afternoon trading on Thursday.
Broadband data management company Tekelec (TKLC) announced a loss of 12 cents per diluted share for the quarter, down from earnings of 23 cents in the same quarter last year. Revenue fell about 27% year over year to 90 million, down from 123.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2009. Tekelec shares were down more than 13% on the day.
Amkor Technology (NASDAQ:AMKR) posted fourth quarter earnings of 20 cents per share, down 42% from the same quarter last year. Net sales were up 12% year over year, but fell 5% from the prior quarter. Shares of Amkor fell about 10%.
And shares of staffing company TrueBlue (NYSE:TBI) were trading more than 10% lower on Thursday, after the company turned a quarterly profit of 9 cents per share on strong revenue growth, but gave guidance for a possible loss in the first quarter 2011.
