Yesterday afternoon, Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM) declared its quarterly dividend of 47 cents per share, an increase of about 7% over its prior dividend. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about 2.2% going forward.
Despite strong earnings from the oil giant, Exxon shares were lower on Thursday, falling 0.6% so far.
In other dividend news, Royal Dutch Shell (NYSE:RDS.A) maintained its quarterly dividend of 84 cents per share. Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) maintained its quarterly dividend of 20 cents per share. Barrick Gold (NYSE:ABX) maintained its quarterly dividend of 12 cents per share. And Imperial Oil (AMEX:IMO) maintained its quarterly dividend of 11 cents per share.
