In trading on Friday, the iShares S&P Global Clean Energy Index Fund ETF (NASDAQ:ICLN) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 2.6% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Sunpower (SPWRA), up about 36.4% and shares of Memc Electr Materials (NYSE:WFR), up about 6% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the First Trust NYSE Arca Biotechnology Index Fund ETF (AMEX:FBT), off about 2.1% in Friday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Friday were shares of Regeneron Pharmaceutical (NASDAQ:REGN), lower by about 8.9%, and shares of Affymetrix (NASDAQ:AFFX), lower by about 3.5% on the day.
