After the bell on Thursday, Western Union (NYSE:WU) declared its quarterly dividend of 8 cents per share, an increase of about 14% over its prior dividend. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about 1.5% going forward.
Shares of Western Union were higher on Friday, picking up 0.4% so far.
In other dividend news, Sysco (NYSE:SYY) maintained its quarterly dividend of 26 cents per share. Lorillard (NYSE:LO) maintained its quarterly dividend of $1.30 per share. Hartford Financial Services (NYSE:HIG) maintained its quarterly dividend of 10 cents per share. And Cimarex Energy (NYSE:XEC) maintained its quarterly dividend of 10 cents per share.
