The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company (NYSE:SMG) updated its fiscal 2011 guidance late yesterday to reflect continued unfavorable weather in the U.S.
Scotts now expects to report sales flat compared to 2010, with earnings per share of $3.10 to $3.20 per share.
The company said consumer purchases are down 4% from a year ago.
Also late yesterday, Clarcor (NYSE:CLC) posted results for its second fiscal quarter, of $32.8 million, or $0.64 per share, up from $23.9 million, or $0.47 per share, last year.
Results beat analyst estimates.
Clarcor hiked its expectation for the full year, to a range of $2.25 to $2.40 per share, ahead of analyst forecast on the high end.
