In trading on Wednesday, the iShares Dow Jones U.S. Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Index Fund ETF (AMEX:IEO) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.4% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Cabot Oil & Gas (NYSE:COG), up about 7.3% and shares of Carrizo Oil & Gas (NASDAQ:CRZO), up about 6% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the SPDR S&P Telecom ETF (AMEX:XTL), down about 3.4% in Wednesday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Wednesday were shares of Ciena (NASDAQ:CIEN), lower by about 14.5%, and shares of Oclaro (NASDAQ:OCLR), lower by about 7% on the day.
