Ameron International (AMN) announced on Friday that its profits fell 90 percent in the second quarter, as construction markets weakened.
The company posted net income of $989,000, or 11 cents per share, for the three months ended May 29 versus $9.5 million, or $1.03 per share, in the same period last year, while revenue slipped 1.3 percent to $134.7 million from $136.5 million a year ago.
Regis Corp. (NYSE:RGS) announced that fourth-quarter revenue from hair salons open at least a year fell 1.7 percent as the company reported a decline in customer visits. Total revenue for the three months ended June 30 was higher by 0.3 percent to $591.8 million, higher than the analyst estimate of $588.9 million.
