The iShares S&P Global Utilities Sector Index Fund ETF (AMEX:JXI) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 82,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 44,000. Shares of JXI were down about 2.5% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Duke Energy (NYSE:DUK), trading down about 2% with over 5.2 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Aes (NYSE:AES), down about 4.2% on volume of over 3.5 million shares. Public Service Enterprise Group (NYSE:PEG) is the component faring the best Thursday, lower by about 0.5% on the day.
