Teen Retailer Zumiez (NASDAQ:ZUMZ) said late Friday it has hired former Blue Nile (NASDAQ:NILE) chief financial officer Marc Stolzman to serve as its chief financial officer and corporate secretary.
The appointment was effective August 8, at which time Zumiez CEO Richard Brooks ceased serving as the company’s acting CFO.
Stolzman was CFO of the online diamond retailer for more than two years, from June 2008 to November 2010.
Prior to that, Stolzman served as CFO of Imperium Renewables, and in various roles at Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX).
Zumiez said Stolzman’s compensation will include a base salary of $310,000, participation in a bonus program worth as much as 130% of base pay, a grant of stock options with a value of $600,000 vesting over four years, and a grant of restricted stock with a value of $300,000, also vesting over four years.
