Last night, Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) declared its quarterly dividend of 20 cents per share, an increase of 25% over its prior dividend. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about 3% going forward.
Shares of Microsoft were lower on Wednesday, falling 1.4% so far.
In other dividend news, Marsh & Mclennan (NYSE:MMC) maintained its quarterly dividend of 22 cents per share. And Carbo Ceramics (NYSE:CRR) maintained its quarterly dividend of 24 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Fifth Third Bancorp (NASDAQ:FITB) announced its quarterly dividend of 8 cents per share, an increase of about 33% over its prior dividend.
And among dividend reductions, Annaly Capital Management Incorporated (NYSE:NLY) announced its quarterly dividend of 60 cents per share, a decrease of about 8% from its prior dividend.
