Newmont Mining Corporation (NYSE:NEM) announced its quarterly dividend of 35 cents per share, an increase of about 17% over its prior dividend in September of 30 cents. The company's third-quarter earnings fell 8.2%, however, due to a steep acquisition-related expense that weighed on the bottom line.
Shares are higher by about 3.6 percent.
In other dividend news, Time Warner Incorporated (NYSE:TWX) maintained its quarterly dividend of 23.5 cents per share. Imperial Oil Limited (AMEX:IMO) maintained its quarterly dividend of 11 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Honeywell International Incorporated (NYSE:HON) announced its quarterly dividend of 37.25 cents per share, an increase of about 12% over its prior dividend in August of 33.3 cents.
Among dividend reductions, Noble Corporation Switzerland (NYSE:NE) announced its quarterly dividend of 15 cents per share, a decrease of about 10% from its prior dividend in August of 16.6 cents.
