In trading on Thursday, the Rare Earth/Strategic Metals ETF (AMEX:REMX) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 6.2% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Quest Rare Minerals Limited (TSE:QRM.CA), up about 16.1% and shares of Rare Element Resources Limited (AMEX:REE), up about 14.9% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the Rydex S&P 500 Equal Weight Financial ETF (AMEX:RYF), off about 1.1% in Thursday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Thursday were shares of Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.B), lower by about 0.7%, and shares of NYSE Euronext (NYSE:NYX), lower by about 0.5% on the day.
