Questar Corporation (NYSE:STR), a Rockies-based integrated natural gas company with an enterprise value of about $4.5 billion and three complementary lines of business, announced its quarterly dividend of 16.25 cents per share, an increase of about 6% over its prior dividend in August of 15.3 cents. The dividend, payable Dec. 12, 2011, to shareholders of record on Nov. 18, 2011, is a $0.01 increase from the previous quarter. This is the company's 268th consecutive dividend and second dividend increase this year.
Shares are higher by nearly 2.8 percent.
In other dividend news, Vornado Realty Trust (NYSE:VNO) maintained its quarterly dividend of 69 cents per share. Expeditors International Washington (NASDAQ:EXPD) maintained a dividend of 25 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Emerson Electric Company (NYSE:EMR) announced its quarterly dividend of 40 cents per share, an increase of about 16% over its prior dividend in August of 34.5 cents.
Among dividend reductions, Teva Pharma Industries (NYSE:TEVA) announced its monthly dividend of 21.9 cents per share, a decrease of about 7% from its prior dividend in August of 23.5 cents.
