Turning today to week-over-week shares outstanding changes among the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the largest outflow was seen in the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (AMEX:XLY), which shed 2.6 million shares, or a 4.4% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLY, in morning trading today McDonald's (NYSE:MCD) is up about 0.3%, and Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) is lower by about 1.7%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the largest outflow was the SPDR S&P International Technology Sector ETF (AMEX:IPK), which lost 250,000 of its shares, for a 29.4% decline in outstanding shares. Among the largest underlying components of IPK, in morning trading today Research in Motion (RIMM) is off about 1.7%, and CGI Group (TSE:GIB.A.CA) is lower by about 1.3%.
