Some potentially positive news out of Italy today is boosting European stocks.
A 9 billion euro bond sale by Italy's treasury department saw bond yields cut in half compared to an auction in November.
Investors can expect the iShares MSCI Italy Index Fund (AMEX:EWI) to trade higher today.
The Vanguard MSCI Europe ETF (AMEX:VGK), with top holdings Vodafone (NASDAQ:VOD), BP (NYSE:BP) and HSBC (NYSE:HBC) is trading down over 1.2% Wednesday, while the Europe 2001 HOLDRS (EKH) trades flat.
The Euro Trust (AMEX:FXE) is trading down almost 1% following the bond auction.
